Adult Training

Boy Scout Troop 501 And Crew 501 Adult Registration Packet

This packet provides the paperwork necessary to register as a Leader with Troop 501. Any adult wishing to accompany their Scout on campouts or participate in any other Troop 501 activities (excluding Troop meetings) must be registered with Troop

501 and have completed Youth Protection Training.

All Registered Adults should return the following to become registered with the Troop:

 Boy Scouts of America Adult Application  (printed form only)
Annual BSA Health and Medical Record (Part A & B)
Archdiocese of San Antonio Authorization and Release Form for Criminal Background Search
 Copy of Current Insurance Coverage
 Youth Protection Training Certificate (less than 2 years old)

 OVASE training must be completed within six months

Note; if you submitted any of these documents with the exception copy of insurance coverage, please do not resubmit.
Items highlighted in blue  are due no later than April 17th.

 



REQUIRED Leadership Training: (please provide copies of training records for the following)

SCOUTMASTER/ASST. SCOUTMASTER: Please complete within 6 months

Assistant Scoutmasters assist in skills instruction and adult assistance with delivering the troop program.

 Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training (attendance required)

 Intro to Outdoor Leader Skills (attendance required)



TROOP COMMITTEE MEMBER: Please complete within six months

The Troop Committee functions as an administration and support organization for the Troop. The Committee ensures that the program is conducted in accordance with the principles and methods of Scouting, and that they are conducted safely. The Committee handles Troop funds, fund-raising activities, membership drives, activity permits and coordination, and advancement records.
